Which compression ratio is best?
I am planning on running some new forged Wiseco pistons w/ either 8:1 or 9:1 compression ratio. The car is mostly street but may someday see some track/drag. I will be upgrading my 16G to a T3/T4 at some point also. Is a T3/T4 safe w/ 9:1? I plan to run somewhere around 25-29psi so I think 8:1 would be safer. ( and yes I will be using some ceramic coatings

it really depends on wich turbo setup you have,t3/t4 dose'nt tell me much,and 29psi? on race gas i hope.
It depends on how well you can tune. 8:1 is more forgiving, but when you raise the boost to compensate for the power loss (as opposed to 9:1) you are back where you started. boost and CR are very similar, the difference is boost is more easily varied.
恩~果然解答了我目前的部分疑惑!沒錯!提高壓縮比跟提高增壓值其實是很類似的!以同一顆引擎的設定,一樣的渦輪、一樣的引擎!
如果作CR為8,增壓值為1.2跟CR為9而增壓值為1.6的兩種方向!到底何種為正確?
恩~似乎解決了我部分的疑惑,必須看「渦輪」跟引擎的排氣量。假設CAM原廠,引擎排氣量較小,加上渦輪的大小因素,明顯出風量的區域在
1.2的話!其實~適度提高壓縮比,會把引擎跟渦輪的最大效益展現出來!
我想,要是以目前設定來說的話,Maybe當初我的CR作9,Boost打1.3- 1.4左右!說不定得到的馬力值會更大也說不定。
倘若我現在換上的是TD06,恩~應該很明顯!!就是用高轉、Hi CAM加上降壓縮比提高BOOST ,來奪取最高馬力的效益!
